Webware asks “What are the best web apps?”
The media category includes so many amazing websites that it is almost impossible for me to choose just one. In fact, I don’t believe that I can even partake in such a poll. How do I choose? Which would you pick and why?
These would be my picks:
Jumpcut - Jumpcut has revolutionized online video editing. It’s simple enough for an everyday user, yet still has enough complex features to keep the pros at bay.
Viddler - Viddler is an online video sharing website that allows you to upload, record videos directly from your webcam, share, video comment and time code tag your videos.
Revver - Revver is one of the first video sharing sites that allows content creators to earn money for their videos using a pay-per-click ad system.
Ustream - With the recent popularity of streaming live video, ustream makes is almost effortless to have your own live video cast.
Last.fm - Last.fm is a social networking website that is based around the music that you and your friends are listening to (not to mention CBS just purchased them for $280 million — that’s got to be good for something?).
Flickr - Flickr is photo-sharing and management app site that was bought by Yahoo! back in March of 05.
Zooomr - Zooomr is another photosharing website that has been dubbed as “flickr on steroids” — Hey, anything is possible.
Oh yeah, and YouTube is okay too…
