As you may know, I’m quite the avid gift giver on facebook (and no, I’m not talking the about the impostor free gifts ).
Today while trying to give a virtual beer gift to my sisters boyfriend (who happens to be 20), I was denied! Facebook will not allow you to gift alcoholic beverages to those who are not 21 years of age.
The beach has been just amazing. Although, the lack of internet has been making things quite difficult to get any work accomplished. Yes, I know.. I’m on vacation and shouldn’t be working but that’s sadly not the case!
Anyways, I was able to stream on jtv today briefly. I’ve missed everyone! We ended up buying some internet for the rest of the week but it won’t be up until tomorrow. Right now, my connection is still a little weak as I’m stealing it from the neighbors.
Thanks to iguy for keeping everyone updated while I’ve been offline!
Hello, viddler and the internet! My family and I have finally made it to the internet. …and for some reason, I just typed the internet instead of the beach. You can see where my mind happens to be most of the time. Agh.
Anyways, for the most part I won’t be able to stream on justin.tv this week due to the lack of EVDO coverage. I have a weak WIFI signal that I’m stealing from the neighbors and it continually drops out every 15 minutes.
Speaking of EVDO and coverage — Sprint is terrible. Since I’ve had AT&T for the past few weeks, it has made me realize what a piece of trash I’ve been using for the past year. I recall last year on vacation (at the same place as we are now), I had just switched to Sprint and still had my Verizon phone for another year. Thankfully because I wasn’t even able to send or receive a single text message with Sprint, yet had full coverage with Verizon. What do you know? Full coverage with AT&T as well!
Over the past few weeks that I’ve been traveling, I’ve noticed the same trend. I actually planned to keep my Sprint contract for the rest of this year. Honestly, the only reason I’m keeping my Treo is the iPhone has yet to implement copy and paste. Steve, can we work on this, please?
Back to vacation.. another plus side to the family vacations (besides spending a week straight of wonderful quality time with with my family..), my dad and grandfather love to fix things. I’ve had a mouse with a fraying cable for quite some time that I never really seemed to think twice about. My dad noticed it and immediately began tearing into it and it’s only 9am on the second day here. I’m sure within the next hour 20 minutes it’ll be back up and running.
Well, I’m heading to the beach here shortly. Hopefully everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
After months of shooting here in Pittsburgh, the SpikeTV series “The Kill Point” aired tonight! Cast, crew, and extras gathered at Alter Bar in the Strip for back to back viewing of the 2 hour episode.
The show was surprisingly a lot better than most of us had thought. Perhaps we were slightly jaded with the cheesy lines heard repeatedly from multiple takes. Not to mention the hours of standing in the freezing/sweltering (depending upon the day) for hours on end? Naaa.
