It’s official — I finally own an iPhone. Big thanks to technologyevangelist.com for hooking me up with this amazing treat. They are the best.
The chat room watched as I unveiled and ‘accidently* activated’ it. It was a rough decision whether or not to just up and cancel my Sprint account. Instead, I just kept hitting next and what do you know? I ended up with a new number. I’ll blog in a week or so my full iPhone review.
* It really wasn’t an accident
Just when you thought it was over..

djsteen and I decided to guest MeToday on each others viddler accounts. Honestly, I think he does a better metoday for me than I can do? If that makes any sense… Also check out my sorry attempt of having an Australian accent and being Derek as well.
Here’s the release of the iPhone in 2 minutes or less at the Mall of America with some random suspenseful music. Ooooo.
Be sure to visit technologyevangelist.com for more coverage!

Scott Baker invited Eric Schark, Ann Ann Turiano (from STBD) and I to Night Talk to discuss new media, the web and all things in between. Here’s a my viddler MeToday video from it!
Ben from technologyevangelist.com unboxes his iPhone and takes us through a nice intro of what’s inside.
Shortly after Ben started using his iPhone, he started having some issues with receiving a signal from AT&T. As it turns out, his iPhone had a bad SIM card. Read his blog entry about how he was able to resolve this issue.
Joe Dowdell was the first person in line at the Mall of America waiting to purchase the iPhone. Here are two videos of Joe unboxing iPhones. We made him do it twice so technologyevangelist.com could shoot a HD version.
In this version I was quite frantic and a little preoccupied with twittering the opening of the iPhone, naturally.
