To give you a bit of perspective of where the bridge was, it is the bridge behind you in this photo. I also linked to some photos from a friend of mine that lives at the bridge.

I am SO GLAD I was working from home yesterday. It normally takes 45 minutes for me to get from my office to home and I normally leave between 5:10 and 5:20. That would put me on or near the bridge at the time of collapse. Again, I feel so lucky I was home yesterday.

Looking thru random blocks, tweets and flickr photos brought me to this photo today, and looking back, it took me a second to realize that, in fact this was right by the bridge.. Luckily know one I knew of personally was involved in this, however I’ve heard a few friends with certain degrees of separation between them and someone that was involved.. - It’s been amazing to see the citizens come out of the woodwork to help.
