I don’t like the tip system. It’s easy to game and abuse.

Worse, it takes the promotion of a channel’s highlights away from the channel operator, and puts it exclusively in the hands of unknown viewers. I”m all for user generated content, ranking and rating, but here’s what else is needed.

We need session specific URLs, so we can link to specific shows or episodes in our channel.

We need ability to create our own “Best Of” list, highlight specific segments of our broadcasts that we like best and wish to promote. A lifecaster does not need this as much as a show producer, like Naked Cowboy or me.

Thoughts?

P.S. Your horizontal link list (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) in right sidebar is breaking your layout. Configure that list to vertical alignment:

Also, the titles of channels has been deleted, so all public can see is images, the icons or avatars of each channel.

That’s why I use an icon with text, my channel title, in it.

@steven: I do agree about the publisher not being able to control what’s going on. I’m hoping they’ll add that feature back in.

I do like that users can tip what they want easily, but I believe it will be abused in time. I’m not sure how long it’ll last how it currently is.

Best of list would also be great! Love your ideas.

Looks like the Justin.tv crew has been very busy, and it seems like it was worth it since it is very cool.

I’m really liking the redesign. A new feature you will love Justine is the ability to download archive video. You can download video from your stream and use it in your viddler or revver vids. Can’t wait to see what the JTV crew does next.

The “Tips” are exactly that: bookmarks for sharing specific parts of a video. Session links aren’t meant for that. So that feature is already implemented!

On the “names” of the feeds, if you “hover” the images, you get the names!

Just heard an interesting article on NPR about you. 300 pages, wow… can you opt out of that and save some trees, or do they require you to receive the paper bill? I’ve heard of this complaint from other iPhones users, but I thought it was done via eBilling? Take care - Ted
