nice call on flickerstick.. i was with them the night they won the bands on the run show back in 2001! they were good friends with my cousin’s band.

I saw them live in Dallas a couple years back… not bad, as I recall. I don’t think any of them were sober. I also don’t think playing a four minute audio clip from “The Wizzard of Oz” was all that necessary… or entertaining, for that matter… but they were fun once they started actually playing something.

That was a great freakin’ show, lady! I think I make a couple of cameos in the right-hand side of the screen. If you have any footage of that crazy drunk guy who went around high-fiving EVERYONE, please post it. I can always use a good laugh!

Wow! I cannot believe anyone remembers this band. I watched every episode of “bands on the run” back then. The only thing that surprises me more is that they’re still clinging to what little fame they had. I mean, out of the bands they competed against, they were clearly the best, but their competition was flat out awful.

I can’t believe people remember Flickerstick. They were here a few months ago. Unfortunately I was also in the position of being unable to find people to go with, except I was completely unsuccessful. It was also almost an hour away and I had a 9:15 class the next day. Oh well :o(

Yes! Flickerstick is one of my favorite bands! Good to know they are known elsewhere.

i watched that show “bands on the run”. it was awesome. i wish it was put on dvd (i think i am the only person that wishes that). i liked then and i would like to see them live. i’m surprised they are still together.

I was absolutely obsessed with Bands on the Run, and surprised they never made a second season. Maybe that type of show would work better as a progam/channel on Joost?

I was all excited because I thought that I would be the only other person on this site to even here of Flickerstick. Clearly that wasn’t the case. Personally, I am shocked that they are still together. VH1 needs to get on the ball and do another “Bands on the Run”.
