Tonight we are discussing Bacn and how to deal with it.

This is a much-needed word. All I have in my Hotmail account, these days, is bacn. I’m typing this comment on my cell phone; lucky there’s on bacn on here–otherwise I’d never get to sleep! Bacn on!

Isn’t that basically what David Allen’s Getting Things Done propose you do with email? If you can’t do something immediately you put it in a bucket to process at a later time.

Interesting it took a funny name, bacn, for it to catch on.

Really nice! Until now I had to mutter something strange to explain this phenomenon — now there’s a word and it makes perfect sense if you think about it as spam’s (very) little brother.

Wow this is a great term, I never could have thought of it. As for my bacn, I use gmail to filter it by social network.

I didn’t think someone would ever find a name for it. I finally get to use a term for all the mail considered bacn! Thanks to Podcamp :D.

Finally there is a name for stuck-up folks who eat too much grease to find the energy to respond to the bottom feeders on the Net.

The term Bacn is something we can live without. I wrote a post telling the world that mrbaconpants want to make a stand against bacn.

Hey Justine. Funny you should post this, since I sent you an email 2 weeks ago and you never replied. Haa! I guess that since I’m also a Police Officer, my emails to you need to be marked as bacn too, huh? Lol.

Is the bacon supposed to spell something? Looks like “CHICK” to me.

I think bacon is wrongly applied as a label as it is a most desirable cut from the pig (Sus scrofa domestica). Although not as clever a name, I believe “Head Cheese” or “Potted Meat” would be more appropriate to derive the label from by the fact that they are made from the remnents or less desirable portions of the pig.

Wonder how bacn will be blocked. Maybe there’ll be a quota or bins to soak up the fat till you get to it on your own time & terms like a spam folder, but with stuff you actually want.
