i’ve definitely heard the “break up” talk. and it was awkward. it was more a break up yelling i suppose… but we were having a bake sale at my previous college & this couple went at it in the hallway. we def. heard what he had been doing in the bedroom… NOT with his girlfriend… gasp!

Actually one time I was sitting at Starbucks and I overheard some people quietly whispering about some secret weapons they were testing in IRAQ, it was quite scary, I ran away really fast! The worst part about it is they were in these secret agent looking suits and talking very nervously about it!

Man dressed in drag & gentleman together in the reception desk area of a hotel, once overheard at the reception desk: If we’re getting a room in your name, should we put it under Mr or Ms, and should we put it under your name or mine so if she calls the hotel she won’t find out.

Unentirely sure of what was going on there, but convinced that something fishy was going down (no pun intended) I looked the other way and tried my best not to laugh.

I’ve heard “break up” talk as well. It was walking through our student center on campus. The best quote out of all of it was, “Shut up, I need you!”

It doesn’t get a lot of posts but every once in awhile there’s a real gem.

Overhead on the 38 bus: “Dude, you’re not gonna get kidnapped! You’re not even that good-looking!”

Overheard in the men’s room at the SF Centre: “Anyway, it’s like Joss Whedon said, ‘After a while, it stops being CPR, and starts being necrophilia.’”

While sitting at Subway, two lawyers in the next both were talking about how to cheat clients and overbill them. Conversation finished with who to bribe to win new business.

I once heard a guy soliciting another guy for sex. I saw his laptop and he was on craigslist picking numbers out and calling people. I hope he had a good time.

Once on Mt. Washington, a guy & girl were walking past & I heard her say “I’m sorry I can’t marry you right now”. My guess is I just missed a shot down romantic proposal my minutes. I’m always late for everything.

i once sat down with a group of UPS workers behind me.
Unfortunately, the conversation was just about the real estate market and how one of them was looking for a house
P.S Justine, you’re in New York? THat’s where i live haha how long are you staying? Take the train down to Larchmont and visit! we have 2 starbucks’s

I heard this today on the bus:

Guy 1: Do you remember Steve?
Guy 2: Yeah.
Guy 1: Well he used to steal stuff from the places where he’d work and then like get another job a week later.
Guy 2: No way.
Guy 1: Yeah, he used to work at Zellers and stole all of the security cameras and hocked ‘em for like $4,000 each for crack.
Guy 2: Damn.
Guy 1: But he’s clean now, so it’s ok.

Talk about random conversation.

“So have you ever done that?”

“Yeah but only once and it was in college…”

I am new to the whole starbucks thing, but I love it. Haven’t heard anything yet worth remembering but as soon as I do you’ll be the first to know.

I did hear something in the restroom today, but I’ll save that one for Twitter

oh ps: i got bit by a friggin CENTEPEDE at starbucks. at 5am. i felt a super sharp pain and looked down and lifetd my ankle and it was INSIDE my pant leg. i just about had a heart attack. i kicked my leg and the thing flew across the room. i walked over to the guy it landed near and said “watch out that thing just bit me” and he immediately began high stepping/dancing and his wife began to scream… which upset everyone else and prompted a few more shrieks while the counter guy came around with a broom to kill it.

a little too much action for 5am. and that bite HURT.

stupid starbucks…..

I wasn’t at Starbucks, but instead I was getting gas at the gas station. As I was placing the nozzle into the tank, I heard a small streaming watery sound of liquid hitting the ground. At first I thought that it was someone dropping gasoline, until I turned around to see this guy peeing behind his car door right at the gas pump while his son was paying inside.

THIS WAS AN INSTANCE WHERE I WISH I HADN’T HEARD A THING!!!!

I over heard some conversation about some secret stuff. They were polititions or something. They kept looking around nervously like someone was watching them. They finally made me so nervous I had to leave.
It was pretty interesting!!

Starbucks is one of those great places (along with the airport) that’s just a natural people-watching locale. Always interesting!

Since when do you use Windows XP and Internet explorer 6?

BOOOOO!!!!!!

I’ve witnessed a “woman” standing up to pee (feet under stall were NOT facing the right way!) while singing “Fuzzy Wuzzy” in a public restroom.

It was, quite possibly, the greatest moment of my life.

That’s Windows XP.

And Italian espresso is better.

But you’re beautiful, so nevermind.
