I went to CompUSA to buy my copy last night. There was not a line at all and I arrived at 5:59. got my copy and left.

Wow, those Apple Store guys are really… jovial… aren’t they?

I SO want to install Leopard. I went to one of the Apple Stores last night after work to check out the scene, but promised my wife I wouldn’t buy a copy. She wants me to wait till Christmas. Not for reasons of bugs, but because she wants to get me something she knows I REALLY WANT! Oh well, when I get the chance I will be just as excited as Justine and everyone else is today. - Kemas (PowerBook 15″ Hi-Res 1.67 Ghz Mac)

Heading down to Brighton here in the UK tomorrow (Sunday) to pick up a copy.

There were about 1000 + people in line at the Eaton Center store in Toronto at 5:30… Didn’t have time to wait, so I just jumped over to Best Buy and was the 2nd in line. Soooo happy.

You are totally crazy in a very good way! And I am very jealous. I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy (if the cost of car repairs ever stops conspiring against me).

That’s how I spent MY friday night. Installing Leopard. And I love it. Best upgrade yet. Super smooth install, considering I’m on a 4 year old G4 Powerbook. Everything runs nicely, even though the initial Time Machine backup took pretty much like 9 hours to do. 9 hours to transfer nearly 50 gb onto a firewire backup drive. Other than that, it’s awesome.

I’d have done the same thing. Unfortunately I decided to try and save $20 and order mine on Amazon with their slow-ass shipping and so I won’t be having my Leopard moment until November 5th.

You walk kinda fast… I noticed ’cause i’m drunk, and I don’t walk fast… And also, I see speed limits as guide, not a set-in-stone-law when I need to buy software.

The above doesn’t quit make sense… but almost. Sorry, keep it up, your the most web 2.0 person I “know”…

Just wanted to say hey, noticed you were having a hard time with Leopard and I’m now kinda scared to open it to install it. So, I’m going to see if a friend of mine installed his and go from there.

I got my copy Friday nite also. Ran down to MacAuthority in Louisville at about 6:30. Got my Leopard, got some brownies, got some advice and went home.
By 7:30 I was happily running 10.5 with no problems at all.
I love it!
And while the hordes were standing in line at the Apple store to get a t-shirt, I got a beautiful stuffed Leopard.

Sorry you had issues. I did a fresh installed and had no problems, until I tried to put the Office 2004 suite on. It would not take my PK. Long story short, after an hour with John from Microsoft Mac support, update 11.3.5 had to be installed before inputting the PK. Hope that helps if anyone else has that problem.

I installed Leopard a few hours ago and I am thrilled! It is just AMAZING! I love it!

I think you def hit it as being number 3. Steve jobs would probably agree since you being born wasn’t branded with an Apple Logo.

& i though that I’m crazy about Mac , i think my friend should see that , and they should see your Video ,
