I think ‘x’ had it right that the screen is illuminated and the proximity sensor is held away from his cheek even to keep the screen from going black which some brilliant prop coordinator apparently thought would’ve been a far worse faux pas!!

they most likely did that so the phone stays illuminated so it looks like the phone is actually working which real users know that the backlight does turn off because of the sensor… but i guess if they’re acting they wouldn’t even be on the phone anyway so it would’ve stayed illuminated anyway… oh god they ARE stupid… i was just trying to find some sense why they did that and there is none

It’s not actually a blunder… TV networks don’t to give out free advertising to they go to great lengths to hide logos/tradmarks/etc… for us tech geeks, it sooo obvious, but many people wouldn’t notice.

they would have to pay apple if they actually displayed the logo. Therefore, they are having people use the phone upside down. no check for apple.
