So, Cloverfield was pretty good.
So, Cloverfield was pretty good.
David Poe on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmWell, that was the same dizzy-ing type camera work that was in the film. Overall I think it was a great movie, but sooooo could have done without the blair witch project camera work. But, thats just me. And, I was so afraid for you and brookers!
Dan Poindexter on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmYeah, except there was no filmscore in Cloverfield.
J.J. Abrams is to cinema what Steve Jobs is to computers.
Steve on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmVery funny, were you recording those sound effects during the film?
nici on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmthat was actually pretty hilarious. i think i’ll wait for the movie on dvd though… still. justine you make me smile
MattJhsn on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmA video camera capturing footage on a movie where the film’s characters capture footage with a video camera. Brilliant I say!
Kevin on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmThis is so funny cause I was thinking “iJustine would have totally been a good character for this movie” while I was watching cloverfield!
Guruwho on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmFreakin’ awesome! This is really, really, really well done. Now I don’t have to go to Cloverfield!
Steeefan on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmThanks for the entertaining video. I really need to see that movie first day when it launches here next week.
Sarah Cohen on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmthat was great! sound effects were awesome; i actually jumped @ that first big crash when you guys were still in the theatre. hahaha, i’m a dork. (but a dork who is gonna have to see cloverfield…i’m intrigued now)
heyitsRachel on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmI’m guessing I’ll have to watch the movie in order to know what the hell just happened… you and Brooke may just be TOO much for each other! lol
Mathieu on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmI’m not sure you have a camcorder as strong as that used for the film
Don’t speak about the video quality and the battery life !
I saw Cloverfield on Tuesday and I did like it.
Alex on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmwow that was great and exactly how the movie was
cloverfield and junior mints are both my obsession
Nik on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmNice! That’s was pretty darn neat, and made me realize just how easy it would be for *anybody* with a handycam and a little imagination to contribute to the Cloverfield mythos with their own mini-sequels anytime they want. I wonder if we’ll see a bunch of fan-made Cloverfield continuations like this on YouTube over the coming months.
Pinc (Pinctone) on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmJustine and Brooke , that was awesome! I loved it!
spaceguy on Jan 24th 2008 at 2:14 pmOBVIOUSLY, you did not see Cloverfield. Any good videographer taping a monster attacking event would have taped over a previously taped video from a month ago. Therefore resulting in key events being revealed in the life of the said videograhper from the month previous.
Although you seemed to have recorded a horrifying event in your life, re: exiting the theater, I know!! (exiting a theater can be a stressful, especially when you have to pee), I guess I will have to use my suspension of disbelief that there may or may not be a monster in your video.
(oh, this would be a just kidding comment, as always your videos are too fun to watch)
Kris Hetzel on Jan 25th 2008 at 2:14 pmMy date and I liked it too, although it seemed the entire theater hated it. Everyone made a loud “Boo” after the movie was over.
Chadwyk on Jan 25th 2008 at 2:14 pmOh man… I wish I was there to see you film this… hehehe… Woulda been too fun
good job Justine & Brooke! I await the sequel!
BigFreaky on Jan 25th 2008 at 2:14 pmDamn Girly that was friggin’ funny, you guys captured that movie perfectly for this spoof. That made me smile too much!
AxsDeny on Jan 25th 2008 at 2:14 pmThe first thing I thought when you went into the bathroom was that it’s a crime in California to take a camera (video or still) into a public restroom.
Jesse Wenger on Jan 25th 2008 at 2:14 pmUmmm, I think you might be close to psychotic…..just a thought….
Bob on Jan 25th 2008 at 2:14 pmYou two are very creative. What a cool idea!
helen on Jan 25th 2008 at 2:14 pmHand over my mouth when the spooky music began, leading me to think that you were in dire idanger, good golly, you were inspired, evidently you cleaned up the cam.
Justine, keep reeling…………

lauren on Jan 25th 2008 at 2:14 pmhey, I was wondering what camera you used to take your videos? Mine just broke, and I’m getting a new one, any advice?
Charmer1 on Jan 26th 2008 at 2:14 pmFunny take on it the movie. I kind of liked the movie too.
Ken on Jan 26th 2008 at 2:14 pmWell played, Justine…well played! Glad that I don’t get motion sickness to begin with, hehehe! Enjoyed this, as I did the actual “Cloverfield” movie…
gonzo on Feb 1st 2008 at 2:14 pmthat was the worst movie i have ever seen in entire life. i got dizzy and almost threw up. the only funny part of the movie was the dead silence in theater from the peoples diapointment and regret of having spent $10 and having lost those 2 hours from thier lives .
homer00j on Feb 2nd 2008 at 2:14 pmCloverfield is the worst film Ive seen in years, I was robbed. A lot of hype about nothing and the rest of the audience muttered “that was crap” so not only me , If you havnt seen it then don’t, save you’re money for something good.
Laura on Sep 17th 2008 at 2:14 pmThought to movie was crap, but was a good interpretation of our new media life on a global scale. Everyone demands their 10 seconds of fame - and this was exactly what Cloverfield was about - just so happens that a giant monster was making life inconvenient for the new 20 something, cyber-tribe of Facebook, YouTube, MySpace young things. Look at the meaning behind the jerky camera moves, frantic narration - and you have a journo on the ground, doing a doccie of My Life.
Whatcha think?
