No Poke for Mark Zuckerberg

Aww, Mark doesn’t want a little poke?!!? Why not? I can’t add you as a friend either so the least I could do is send you a friendly little poke. Nope. Nope nope nope nope nope nope nope.

Can’t say I really blame him.

I like pokes. I don’t necessarily always poke back like I used to when I had mobile updates on though. The web poke-back is just way too slow and not very effective for multiple poke-backs! It was just so quick and easy to reply on mobile with a ‘p’ that it would lead to massive poke wars.

If you ever wondered why I really sent/recieved so many text messages — this was the REAL reason. POKES!!!!

What’s your thoughts on poking? Is there a poking etiquette that you follow? One that you SHOULD follow? Just say no to super-poke?

i never got the idea behind pokes. i poke people irl. cyber pokes just aren’t as fun. you don’t get to watch them squirm and try to avoid it!

I don’t like getting pokes. Sorta rude. Virtual pokes are a bit better, to the pokee.

I dont mind a few pokes ,, but like anything else that is over used and over done , I get annoyed quick

here is a script that keeps the garbage off my facebook page
This script will block app invites sent to you by friends. After the facebook profile page is loaded, it finds all the applications that your friends have invited you to and blocks them (and it works amazingly well )

I totally don’t understand pokes. Whenever someone pokes me, I just kind of ignore it, lol.

At least you have unlimited sms.

i have been locked in a couple of poke wars for over a year but i’m determined not to give in now matter what

Pokes are fun! But only because they’re mutual. And the only reason I would turn off mobile updates is if I was getting lots of Facebook spam. Which only happened once. And you can always change what info gets sent to your phone, which seriously reduces the amount of crap you get on it.

@Ashley: pokes basically allow people to peek at a subset of your profile… though they don’t have as much access as your friends do… just how much access a poker gets when u poke back depends on the privacy settings you configure.

@Amanda Quinn: no. no, you can’t… and yet there’s no end to things one can indeed do — such a conundrum.

as for my attitude towards pokes, i’m completely indifferent.

i’ve used them to satisfy my curiosity about people, so that’s useful… but they’re so easy to do, they have no noteworthy meaning (not everyone gets the poke volume u do, Justine)

I don’t really like pokes or understand what they’re for. All I know is, if I get one, whether it be a regular poke or a superpoke, I can’t resist poking back!
