I found a little wormie in my strawberry shortcake the other day.
I almost puked.

I ate chocolate covered crickets for extra credit when I was in the 9th grade… they tasted like M&Ms.

Prepared to be grossed out with this true fact that I learned during a marketing class I took in college…

We learned that in order to keep the price of a box of cereal down to a reasonable amount, EVERY cereal company (Kellogg’s, etc) has to “allow for so many bugs and/or rodent hairs per box”.

There is no way they could make and package cereal in vacuum sealed factories like Intel - bunny suits and all. If companies like Kellogg’s did have air tight factories, then most likely the box of cereal would cost significantly more. So much more that it simply would not sell to the average consumer.

Bugs and rodent hair cereal - mmm. Bon appétit!

Saw maggots in an almost finished pack of malt-o-meal a while back. That so made me google it too. Since then I don’t keep my oatmeal/malt-o-meal (stuff that take a while to finish) in the pantry lol. A bug is bad enough.. but friggin nasty crawly maggots. Oh lawd.

Okay, I may never eat cereal again after reading diamondkt’s comment. Although, I have never found anything in my cereal except cereal. Have I just been lucky?

Now I am worried that if I do eat cereal again, my luck will run out and I will find something in it! That’s it, no more cereal.

I have eaten cereal and found a tiny brown dot of a bug, it was so gross!

I wrote to kellogs but they never reply =(

We have small black oval-looking bugs in our cupboard that has oatmeal, chips & pasta in it. When I opened the oatmeal, there they were. The oatmeal box is now in the freezer inside of a plastic bag. What are these little warriors? I vacumned out the cupboard but there are still some left. What kind of cleaned will kill them or what is not lethel to us that will get rid of them?

i just opened a box of kellogs cerealm this a.m. mind you that i am pregnant, what did i find after taking 4 bites, a whole bunch of little bugs! i will never east cereal again, and i puked!!

I just ate a half a bag of chips from the pantry without really looking at them. They were open when I got them out. I just looked down, and saw a little bug crawling around on the one in my hand. I probably ate a few others. SO grossed out right now…
