Flickr Video Protest

Posted at 9:47 pm | 69 comments

The cry babies on the internet all complaining about flickr now integrating video.

“Waaaaaa, this is a place for photos! Protest! Protest! Put this image on your stream! Down with video!”

Hey, shut up.

I love that they’ve included the option to resize your video. Usually I change the size manually in the HTML for every website I post a video on. This would save me probably 10 seconds. Cheers!

Anyways, I’m excited about flickr video. I think it’s great!

Yay for xTrain and Adobe launching Adobe TV today! xTrain has partnered with Adobe and they currently have over 100 training segments on topics from photography, graphic design, video, web developing and design, to business.. all from xTrain!

[ check it out and digg it ]

One of the best things about Adobe TV is you’re able to save content to view offline with the Adobe Media Player, and subscribe to your favorite channels to get the episodes as soon as they are released.

I’m sure some of you may have already seen some Dr. Brown’s Photoshop Laboratory videos because I’ve blogged about them before. If you haven’t yet, those are a great place to start if you’re interested in learning more about techniques in Photoshop. Even if you aren’t interested design, these videos are still really funny and you might learn a thing or two.

Check out his 3D experiment, animation, and/or black & white images.

Anyways, check out Adobe TV and let me know what you think!

Crazy Town

Posted at 2:26 pm | 33 comments

Coffee shops are the new office. Joe was kind enough to join me at the office to work (aka we ended up playing dinglepops and blockles).

There was a conversation going on behind us for about 2 hours that made absolutely no sense. Every other word from the couple was like nails on a chalkboard.

I simply said, “This is crazy town..” and from there we started singing.

I’m back in Pittsburgh so I went over to Cinemanix with Alex Lindsay (who was also in town) and Bryan Scibelli to do a green screen test with the new RED Camera. Here’s a brief clip of my amazing dancing skills. It’s actually quite a train wreck.

I’ll be posting another video shortly with more RED camera.. less dancing.

Dinglepop

Posted at 11:00 pm | 18 comments

Move over Blockles..

There’s a new game on iminlikewithyou called Dinglepop. It’s very similar to a game that some (most, or all) of you may remember — SNOOD!!!!

Years ago.. in between many games of Quake3 and Unreal Tournament was my secret Snood addiction. I hid it well but now with the release of Dinglepop, I’m coming out with my problem here and now.

The game is pretty self explanatory and extremely addicting. All you have to do is match 3 like colored dinglepops to free them before they are pushed past the dotted line. Oops. You lose.

The best part about dinglepop is the team play. Much like blockles, there are items that you are able to use against your opponents to further your chances of winning.

Okay, now you must excuse me for not finishing this entry. I have some gaming to do. Here’s my wonderful embeddable widget badge thing to show you how much time I’ve wasted. Great.

Lunch with iJustine

Posted at 10:11 pm | 13 comments

I was sorting through some videos and found this one from my last trip to SF. Karen and I went to lunch and of course, I had a bunch of random stuff thrown out on the table.

..and yes, this is usually what it’s like if we were to dine.

Spent this past week in San Francisco - Thus the lack of updates. I’m really not that good at keeping my blog updated when I’m traveling. Must work on that!

Anyways, it was a lot of fun and now I’m stuck in the Vegas airport. Blah blah blah. Hope you guys are all doing well. Chat fest this Sunday? I THINK SO!!!!!

CNET Crave

[ watch video here ]

This week while I was in San Francisco, I met up with my friend Brian who hosts Crave on CNET. He invited me over to show some of my latest favorite treats on the show.

Of course I chose my two latest obsessions: Qik on the Nokia N95 and the FlipVideo camera.

Funny little story: Brian was one of the first few people I talked to on MySpace. He had a photo with some iPods so of course.. I knew we’d be great friends! We randomly ran into each other last year at Mac World.

Oh the internet. You are the best!
