We’re out here in Vegas for the premiere of “Get Smart” with igotshotgun! eJustine isn’t a fan of Vegas because she’d much rather be playing online poker. Go figure.

Either way, I’m having a great time and I can’t wait to get the footage online from the red carpet. I bought a morphed photo of Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock) at a random photo store and had him autograph it. Quite entertaining!

While walking around in San Francisco lastnight, I saw a guy with some rats.. Naturally, I thought it would be a good idea to feed them some candy.

I was actually slightly nervous about getting rabies but all is well.

Just in case you haven’t heard, there is a new iPhone on the block. It was released this week at WWDC at the oh so wonderful Steve Jobs keynote. What’s new? Well, as we all expected it’s now 3G, has GPS, supports Microsoft Exchange (MobileMe), and the 16 gig comes in two classy colors: black and white.

I was lucky to have been able to touch the new iPhone. ..and the person who let me touch it said “If you ever tell anyone who I am, [insert threat here]”

Most of the people I’ve told about it, their first reaction was “OMG, what’s it look like???”" Well, let me tell you.. pretty much exactly like the current iPhone just with a black plastic back. Still though, it’s quite exciting. The GPS is rockin’.

I did get to play a few games though, one of which was classic Pacman. The next was Engimo where you use move the iPhone around to get a screen full of water into a little container. Mildly amusing and slightly more difficult than you’d think. I also played Cromag Rally (pictured above) which is very Mario Kart’ish that uses the accelerometer on the iPhone to control the game. Pretty fun!

Shortly after the keynote, I was feeling a bit let down that there wasn’t an upgrade to the camera or video. Although, the best news I’ve heard all week is that QIK will now be supported with the iPhone. Yep. Awesome!

For awhile, plurk just didn’t work — That was mostly due to the Leo Laporte effect. He twittered about joining and shortly after everything quit working. Reminds me of when he first joined / broke Jaiku back in the day?

Shortly following became the twitter storm of people linking to their profiles increasing the steady flow of traffic Plurk was receiving that day. Check out their entry here with a graph of their spike in traffic.

So what exactly is “Plurk”?

The best way to describe it is the love child of twitter and dipity. If you’re familiar with those two sites then you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. If not, then let’s clarify: It’s a timeline based twitter that allows you to share media with your friends with incentive “karma” points for a slight competitive edge.

If you haven’t checked out plurk, you can do so here and we’ll automatically become friends.

Plurk is alright, but I will never be sold on the timeline interface. It takes forever to scroll and it’s not a very practical interface for viewing content quickly. This is why people love twitter so much — simplicity.

The one thing that I do really like about plurk is their replies feature. It appears in a nice little drop down menu and is automatically updated as new comments are added.

I was on Internet Superstar with Martin Sargent in this fun packed episode of pooping in bags and rabid possum treats.. Yes, this was by far the perfect episode to be on!

Also, you’re right — Martin told me I could have the Crayola Radio that I claimed to have stolen. The set looks so lonely without it — I think I should put it back?

You all may (or may not?) have seen the trailer for the new Jessica Alba movie “The Eye”. If you didn’t.. I won’t judge.

(The only reason I managed to catch it was I was home sick for a day and watched MTV for 24 hours straight. No, I’m not proud of that moment.)

Point being.. Studio 8 made a great spoof “The Hand” which is the above video. Watch it. It made me LOL. Hopefully you will to
