I might not have been able to make the launch, but I was able to get a demo for the time being until I’m able to make it out to a store to get my own!

Here it is — It’s amazing.

The first apps I installed were Facebook, twitterific and twittelator. Lovely little delights.

** Update: Check out this Daily Buzz episode that has great coverage of the launch all around the world. Plus they added in my iPhone dropping video at the end and made fun of my gloves Gotta love it!

I too like twitterific. Have you checked out Loopt…kinda scary to know peeps might be able to track ya….ummmm??? That app may not be on my iphone too long.

I installed most of the apps on my iPod Touch. I like the facebook app. But Monkey Ball is the shiznit!! Took me damn near an hour to get good at it though. I need to try Texas Hold’em later also.

I love my blackberry, so that isn’t going anywhere. I can get the apps on my iPod Touch, so no need to go to AT&T.

I can’t upgrade my old iPhone. Maybe I should pull an iJustine and just get a new one. I can’t wait for your next video!

I want the iphone! it will be coming out after the 28 of July here so i’ll have to wait!! Will anybody give away their old iphone? Just checking :).

I probably will get the chinese phone too, just for fun.A friend bought a ipod for 15 dollars and installed a alternative software (the name just went off my mind) and it works perfectly …for 15 dollars 8 GB is just nice! No warranty or support though.

@jeremyjacks: I updated with the 2.0 firmware, that got leaked on the net yesterday and it’s the final version, not the beta. A lot of people upgraded yesterday(including people on some very big tech site) and everything worked. Takes about 10-15 minutes for the upgrade and then everything works fine and you can use the app store(only thing I was really excited about).

Most people did it, because we wanted to try the app store yesterday and it’s ok for a start. There are some really good free apps, but also some good apps, that cost money.

If Apple would’ve let people upgrade yesterday, before the traffic from new iPhone users, this probably would’ve never happened with the servers.

Glad to see you have an iPhone 3G to play with until your vacation is over. I would imagine it would’ve been torture for you otherwise.

3G iPhones come with firmware 2.0 (5A345), the download from itunes is 2.0 (5A347).
I restored to get the newer firmware.

Said to fix yellowish tint and other issues.

Just thought I throw that info out.

I didnt get an iPhone the first time round, they were a little two expensive for me I got an iPod Touch instead

At £159 for a 16GB and as a fellow blogger I feel it is my duty to get one, unless you fancy doing your bit for the environment and recycle your old one by giving it to me?

Congrats on getting your iPhone! I’m a little surprised you got black. Figured you would of gone for white for sure.

You should check out the AOL Radio and NY Times apps as well. Pretty good “functional” apps to have.
