Jay Leno and Jack Black

Went to the taping of tonight’s Jay Leno show! The guests were Connor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band….. and Jack Black!

Of course, I couldn’t resist pulling the old “what’s your favorite treat” card when I met Jay and Jack afterwards (yes, we are now on a first name basis).

The show was pretty fun and Connor Oberst was great. I was never huge Bright Eyes fan until I heard his new stuff with The Mystic Valley Band. My friend Nik Freitas is playing guitar for them and I checked out a free show yesterday at Ameoba Records:

Most people (someone name Calacanis?) name drop without proof but you got the VIDEO! VERY COOL!

My sister went to “The Tonight Show” a few years ago (saw Catherine Zeta Jones and LeAnne Rymes) and said Jay is even funnier before the show than during it!

Both seem like nice guys and those pictures are KEEPERS! Congratulations!

I’d have asked Jay to show me that CAR!

If I ever get famous and stuff and you flip me, I’m going to tell you I like baklava. I really do like baklava. I just found a good spot for it in Philadelphia called Jany’s, but I also like a million other treats, too, and might say anything at the moment you grabbed me if I’m not ready.

But what I want to say when I get real famous like Jay Leno and you ask me is baklava. So help me remember that, will ya?

Nik Freitas is awesome! I saw him open for Jason Lytle (of Grandaddy) two years ago. He’s incredibly talented. I bought his album after the show I thought he sounded better solo then with a band.
