Happy Halloween everyone! I noticed a bunch of people tweeting little festive icons on twitter and thought I’d share those with you.

Just copy and paste into your tweet:

Got these from this site — thanks! Check it out for the complete list.

Did you get a postcard?

Posted at 5:39 pm | 36 comments

I finally sent out a bunch of postcards to people who responded a few weeks ago with a request for one from Hawaii. I do apologize if you didn’t get one, but I allotted a few hours on the flight home and went in order of emails received.

I did have some help writing out the addresses though.. if I didn’t, I’d have been there for 3 days! haha! I ended up getting almost 800 emails within 20 minutes of tweeting which was pretty crazy. Let me know if you got yours (and feel free to yell at me for not getting one)!

Pano Panoramic photos

Posted at 4:56 pm | 22 comments

I’ve been a bit obsessed lately with the Pano application for iPhone! It’s quite easy and creates almost seemless panoramic photos in a minute.. and it’s quite addiction. I just want to Pano everything!

I had a few people question on flickr “How did you do that?” and they didn’t really believe that it was just a simple iPhone application.

The interface is extremely easy, as you can see by the screen shot above. You take the left most picture and then continue on snapping photos to line up the right transparent edge. It will take up to 4 photos and then merge together your masterpiece.

If you wish to take less than 4 photos, just hit cancel at anytime and it will ask you if you’d like to create your panoramic photo now. It’s more fun with 4, but hey.. whatever you want.

Here’s a few of my favorite panos:

Karen working at her laptop.

The perfect pano!

Nummy sushi. You can see a small error on the plate.

This was a difficult pano because of all of the intricate details in the background but it turned out quite well. The only small error with this one is Jared moved slightly so his hand looks extra large.

There are a few other panoramic application for the iPhone but this was the first and least expensive one. It works amazing so I didn’t really feel a need to purchase another. Hope you like it and feel free to link any of your panos here in the comments :)

Come check out the beginning of my new ning network! I just started it yesterday so it’s very early. I haven’t really customized everything yet but don’t worry, I’m working on it :)

The domain still hasn’t even switched over yet it’s so new. Wait for it.. wait for it!

For now, just go here to play! See you there!

** Update! I’ve added a new look. The pink of that random theme I picked previously was hurting my eyes :) iTown!!

Facebook Fail

Posted at 1:03 am | 42 comments

Tonight I tried to upload a photo like I normally do to Facebook using email which takes about 3 seconds. Not only do I upload to facebook, but I send out to flickr, posterous, utterz, brightkite, twitpic and sometimes a few other sites all with a simple email.

Well, it looks like someone has their little panties in a bunch and they want you to JUST use their iPhone application when sending photos from your iPhone. That entire process takes much longer than simply just emailing a photo like normal. It’s ridiculous to remove the option to email photos completely. Yet again, Facebook wants to make things more difficult for it’s users.

The only upside to my rant is that the new iPhone application is much faster than the previous. It has a new interface and it will allow you to approve friends much quicker than the website (but too bad if you want to put those friends in groups — you can’t).

You can also tag your friends directly from the send-photo option in the app.. but that still doesn’t fix the email issue! Facebook, bring it back right now!!!!

Do any other iPhone users do the same — emailing multiple sites to post mobile photos?

Anyone else a bit upset about this or I am just being cranky? :)

Today the first episode of the Pluggedin 5 aired! This show is really so much fun to shoot because we’ve been to so many locations that it’s always a little different.

Anyways, check it out!

We have a few more episodes coming out this week too — A special little Halloween treat! Can’t wait! Look for them this week.. I’ll most likely be tweeting about it too as a reminder.

Thanks to everyone for your kind feedback!

Annoying twitters?

Posted at 2:00 pm | 40 comments

Found some tweets about “How annoying are you on twitter?” — definitely had to follow and see just how annoying I was. In the past, I’ve always made a conscious effort not to update more than 10 times a day.. looks like I’ve kept up quite well on that!

Looks like my average i 7.01 milliscobles per day.

Wait, what…? A milliscoble? What’s that? Haha! As defined by their site it’s “One milliscoble is defined as 1/1000th of the average daily Twitter status updates by Robert Scoble as of 10:09 CST September 25, 2008. At that time, Scoble had tweeted 14,319 times in 675 days, for an average tweets per day of 21.21. Thus, one milliscoble is defined as 0.02121 tweets per day.”

Pretty hilarious :) Feel free to follow me since I’m not that annoying!

How annoying are you to follow on twitter? Post yours!

3 more days

We made a bunch of videos of me learning about music for the new pluggedin show. Kanay-nay west! No, I’m not that much of a n00b.

Also, I know some people outside of the US are having trouble viewing videos due to DRM restrictions. I’ll keep you posted on where you can watch if you have issues.

First episode launches this Monday, October 27th!

I’ve always loved checking out the behind the scenes footage of movies and shows so I always like to share some of those videos with you too. Well, here’s a quick video from a shoot I was on this week in Utah for a TV commercial. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen crane hoist up a stove, light on fire and then dropped onto a laptop.

The commercial is for Mozy, an online storage company. They just released a Mac beta app of which I’m about to test out right now. I’ll be sure to let you know how it is! Also, let me know if you catch one of the commercials airing in your city.

Shooting with a RED camera! Nice.

Everyone was asking me where I got the “Back the F:\ up” t-shirt — That was their brilliant creation. Seriously, this is the best internet company t-shirt I’ve ever got! Great work Mozy :) Not sure when/where you can get one, but I’ll find out! Took this shot with my iPhone.
