Shooting in Utah for Mozy

I’ve always loved checking out the behind the scenes footage of movies and shows so I always like to share some of those videos with you too. Well, here’s a quick video from a shoot I was on this week in Utah for a TV commercial. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen crane hoist up a stove, light on fire and then dropped onto a laptop.

The commercial is for Mozy, an online storage company. They just released a Mac beta app of which I’m about to test out right now. I’ll be sure to let you know how it is! Also, let me know if you catch one of the commercials airing in your city.

Shooting with a RED camera! Nice.

Everyone was asking me where I got the “Back the F:\ up” t-shirt — That was their brilliant creation. Seriously, this is the best internet company t-shirt I’ve ever got! Great work Mozy Not sure when/where you can get one, but I’ll find out! Took this shot with my iPhone.

Love mozy for just in case anything crazy happens to my mine, sure as hell hope a flaming stove doesn’t fall on my backups.

Anyways can’t wait to see the final edit on the commercial.

Is mozy located in Utah? I live in Park City, UT… so I was just curious. I can’t get your video above to play for some reason, but I’ll try later.

@shylie hahaha I was going to say the same thing, that dog ran as fast as it little legs took it. The dog had the look like, “This crazy lady might eat me cause I look like a marshmallow.”

I read about the Red Camera in WIRED, last month and I am so anxious to see the results, will watch for the commercial, glad you shared this with us…….camera looks impressive to say the least.

Yeah that t-shirt would surely piss people off, good one. What does the back of the t-shirt say, “Move the f:\ forward”?

This is undoubtedly the most interesting marketing I’ve seen in a while. I wonder if it was a real laptop?

And you can yell at me for this, but if you feel like helping a starving student (literally–the last part is anyway. And I’m starving for cash) and you like Mozy, why not use my code L4WD2D? It gets us both an extra half gig of storage until the end of a deadline I’m too lazy to look up right now (actually, they don’t say when it ends, just that it does), and after that an extra 256 MB. Thanks for suffering some shameless begging!

Hi I use Mozy also work for EMC its not a bad product had my HD crash on my Windows machine last week restored my mail file no problems.

Mozy is awesome. So is that shirt. I’ve been using Mozy for a few years but I still need to get a shirt like that.

Oh, they tell you AFTER registering your referral code (you’re welcome willie!) that you can use the address of the referrer (so folks, try justinex3[at]gmail[dot]com {in the proper form of course!})
Or you can share with me and use HCYLF6 (heck, willie already got his freebie!).

How did it make you feel ?
