Counting Crows at Intel party

Had the most amazing time at the Intel CES party tonight — the Counting Crows were there!!! They are one of my favorite bands as you can tell from my overly excited expression (that I seem to have had all day long.. see last entry).

This was really exciting because as some of you might know.. I used to be a band photographer in another life (pre-video blogging / iPhone days) so being able to shoot one of my all time favorite bands (until I go yelled at) up close was great.

These photos were all shot with my Nikon D90. It worked great!

Surprise, surprise.. another photo of Adam Duritz. Last one, I promise! Will post more on flickr tomorrow. Must sleep for my 7am flight.

The D90 is a workhorse with enough flexibility to allow an artist to do her work - and kudos to intel on their excellent music selection.

The Counting Crows are MY ABSOLUTE favorite band. I saw Adam at the Sundance Film Festival in 2006 (Have you ever been to Sundance Justine?). And while they are my favorite band, it seems like a lot of people have never heard of them. Most people have heard at least some of their songs, but a lot of people don’t seem to know that it is the Counting Crows that are actually responsible for those songs. Kinda strange.

Its kind of weird seeing Counting Crows playing next to the giant intel logo… the times sure have changed

Wow, great shots Justine…the Counting Crows ROCK!! I gotta say though, I was expecting to see pics of Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and the cheeseburger as well!

I’m so jealous….and feel quite stupid too. I was across the street with my friends staying at the Excalibur. We were talking about how we needed to all go to a Crows show together and how it’s been a while since we’ve been. They were right across the damn street! Almost wish I didn’t what I had missed.
