While I was home, I had a flashback of my childhood — What’s your favorite childhood toy?
While I was home, I had a flashback of my childhood — What’s your favorite childhood toy?
Ace on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmI did like the sit and spin. The toy you are holding in your video is cool.
drakeshipway on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmHot Wheels
For sure!
Dan on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmTEDDY RUXBIN?! That is so cool, I haven’t seen one of those since like the 1980s!
jcb on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmFavorite —> http://www.flickr.com/photos/theshadowknows/3149667055/
The Millennium Falcon…..
Derek on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmWhoa! Maybe you should’ve performed an exorcism on ol’ Teddy…
Matty on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmFleshlight of course! Ooooh, as a kid! It would have to be my star wars action figures!
William on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmI am still a child (13) and I have to admit my favorite toy is my Elmo TMX (Tickle Me Xtreme)
I got it two years ago when I got my first video camera so I could practicing shooting on moving objects.
It is so fun to freak my friend out with it.
Giancarlo Colfer on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmThe commercial makes it seem like that’s the Teddy from Hell :p My favorite toy which I still have is an antique Superman Action figure! sssh
Derek on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmSuper Friends were the shit!
Teddy Ruxpin, unfortunately, gave me the creeps.
Matthew Snodgrass on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmDefinitely the Six Million Dollar Man action figure (not doll!)
Joelyn AKA Babygrl4u1 on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmMine would have to be Glo Worm… Yes :o) then My Little Pony.. Don’t forget Rainbow Brite!!!
SRShearer on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmMy family and I messed with mine so we could put in any cassette tape and make it say whatever we wanted.
Rex on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmMy teddy bear! Hands down lol
Julianne on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmI liked my bike (jumping trash cans, playing evil kneveil? I’m sure I spelled his name wrong) and I liked hotwheels.
I liked artwork (drawing, painting, embroidery, etc) and I spent a lot of time outside (riding bike, fishing, taking nature hikes, exploring, etc).
I was a tomboy and not sure I entirely outgrew it. I still think I’m somewhat of a tomboy. I still have a hard time helping my girls dressing and undressing (and dressing, and undressing, and dressing, and undressing) Barbie. I’d much rather build a track for hotwheels and a big block tower for them to crash into.
Thanks for the memories
pcnerd37 on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmI was never really into toys as a kid. I have always been a gamer. I have had numerous gaming consoles and portable systems since I was 2 years old and spent all of my time playing video games. I guess if I had to choose a favorite of all of the consoles, it would probably be the Nintendo 64.
Kelly on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmHoly cow, I totally still have my Teddy Ruxpin and his side kick Grubby!!! Best toy ever!
Ewan on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmI can’t believe nobody said Legos. All my other toys were just supporting characters for my Lego creations.
Kelsey on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmI have to confess that the Furby had to be my most all time favoritest toy as a child!
William on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmOMG!
Furbys!
I still have two sitting on my shelf.
Kris on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmI’m older so nobody will remember this…but my favorite toy was *hands down* the “Chrissy” doll. She was awesome! I still miss her!
da_man on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmI had several favorite toys growing up back in the day, My Buddy, GI Joe, and Hot Wheels. I loved all the classic 80’s toys!
Kristi on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmomg! Teddy is major old school! Where’s Grubby???–and that purple puppet dude?
lol
Katy on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmI didn’t have any favorite childhood toys because my parents never bought me new toys… and those ones handed down from my cousins weren’t going to be my favorite. =(
Brad on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmCrossfire, for sure. Or Nerf Guns. Do you remember the theme song!?

Justin on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmMe and my friends put a Metallica tape in a Teddy Ruxpin and watched him react to Enter Sandman. But ever since that day Teddy would creep us out by moving his eyes and mouth without even being turned on. Typical
Ashley on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmMy favorite toy was my polly pocket! it was like a jewelry box that opened and u could slide the window from day to night. And flip the table setting around in the dinning room. However it wasn’t until i was older that i realized you could put batteries in it. So when you would switch to night stuff would light up! It was the greatest discovery of my life! hahahah well maybe. Probably.
Stephen on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmMy favorite childhood toy was my NES/SNES though my non electronic toy was a huge rubber snake that I named Damien after Jake “The Snake” Roberts’ snake.
Maria on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmI’d say it’s a tie between Scamps & my Barbie corvette. Those were the years. =]
Lance on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmYou mean other than teddy? Probably my HE-MAN, thundercats, and ninja turtle action figures.
Alyssa on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmOh cool a teddy. I’m actually in a contest for this. I’m trying to win some scholarship money for school. My favorite toy is Sonic the hedgehog. I loved the series when I was younger (and still do). I really wanna win so do you think you can help me out. Vote for my picture and ask some of your friends to do so too. Please. Great video by the way! here is the link.http://tinyurl.com/9tfnj9
SuperGirl on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmAm I the only one brave enough to admit Barbies were my favorite? :-Þ I had teddy bears I slept w every night but I got a new one every year so there wasn’t an all time fav teddy. And I had this doll that I supposedly loved and took with me everywhere (my parents told me) but by the time I was 8/9 I had no recollection of it even after I found it buried in my toy box. The thing was ugly as all sin and could give nightmares lol
Joey W. on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmErector sets, legos and just about anything that couldve been disassembled.
Wardell on Jan 13th 2009 at 8:30 pmMy brother had one of those, it ended up in worse condition than yours (skull fracture) lol, but I’d say our favorites where He-Man and Ninja Turtles.
chris on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmI had rocks and sticks. All the other kids had G.I. Joe and Star Wars and all kinds of cool stuff. INCLUDING MY SIBLINGS. It sucks to be the middle child.
There was one stick, though, that was just better than all the rest. And that was my favorite toy.
Don on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmfirst off you rock for still having your teddy i lost mine many years ago … second off light brights were the shit back in the day …
cl191s_clone on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmPre 7: Toy cars of all sorts, especially die cast construction equipments
Post 7: Machintosh 512K…yea, my dad turned me into a nerd early on.
cl191s_clone on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmAlso, be careful of that Pedobear, I wouldn’t trust him too much.
billchase2 on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmI’d have to go with either Legos, Micro Machines, or The Incredible Crash Dummies. The Crash Dummies may win, actually. My cousin and I used to totally demolish the things by throwing the cars with the dummies in them down my grandparents’ stairs. Good times!
Donovan on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmPoor Teddy you should get him fixed - http://www.dreeyoreshospital.net, my favorite toy had to be…. my GI Joe’s and probably my commodore 64 with cassette tape drive…geek
Simon on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmLego. I have always loved it and even have plans to go to Lego land in Denmark

Mered on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmWhen I was little my parents got me a stuffed mouse named Squeak. Man I loved that stuffed mouse so much, I had to have him nearby all the time and I couldn’t sleep without it. I miss that mouse….. I dunno where he is now.
Jon on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmStretch Arm Strong’s Dog. Till we pulled him too far and all the stretch came out….gooey sticky puppy stretch…..*shudders*
Eric on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmremember the old paper football game everyone played in school? yeah … a company called Zelosport has taken that concept and made a series of board games that are really fun. check ‘em out at http://www.fingerfootball.com.
Carla on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmNintendo 64. I became a grand master of Mario Kart 64 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time! I still love them and still play them!
Jessie on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmmy fav was the lite brights. but my parents took it away cus we had carpets full of pegs and also linkin logs were the shits. we used to bulid forts out of linkin logs and the leftovers we would throw at each other then my parents took those away too. to many injurys haha. man i miss being a kid.
idawn on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmAnything that had to do with JEM….I had it all she rocked!!!
collide007 on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmAnother vote of Lego, they are the most awesome toy ever! I’d still have a massive box full now, if my mother hadn’t given them to my younger brother stating I was ‘too old for them now’

That bear thing is creepy, lol.
Ron on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmCute, but could you do it on one take. This video is so unauthentic. Just be yourself.
Gal_n_the_City on Jan 14th 2009 at 8:30 pmMy favorite toy as a child was my Chatty Cathy Doll that I got for one particular birthday back in 1963 and I was so excited (I even have 8mm home movies somewhere of me jumping up down for what seems like forever!) Gosh did I play with her all the time!
One day my older brother was teasing me and grabbed Cathy, pulling her by her string and oops… he pulled so too hard that she stopped talking! I cried and cried. My father felt so bad and attempted to repair her, unfortunately he wasn’t able to do his magical handy work to revive her. My brother was punished and lost certain privileges and I was so sullen; Cathy was like a baby sister to me.
I remember one morning after awakening and coming down to breakfast, there she was, Chatty Cathy as good as new waiting for me to hold her and she was as chatty as ever.
Skybuck on Jan 15th 2009 at 8:30 pmVery little child: Teddybeer, had one eye missing too, I guess most kids had a teddybeer with an eye missing.
Little child: big toys in city playground/garden. I played a lot there, in the sand, on the grass and even the dirt/mud and then one day I noticed these little moving things… they were bugs ! That was last time I played in the mud =D OH MY GOD/WAAAAAH/Iew/bleh
![]()
Child: Lego, technic lego, knickers/glass little ball thingies that go into the pit and then you win all of them.
Teenager: Donkey Kong, Jr Kong, Atari/River Raid !, C64 Katakis/Turrican/Maniac Mansion/Giana Sisters
I knew one kid that could play River Raid flawleslly up to level 99 and then it would go back to level 0 again ! gjez.
End of transmission.
SuzanneMarije on Jan 15th 2009 at 8:30 pmYAY that song from 2 Unlimited `Get Ready For This´ brings back memories…
Brian on Jan 15th 2009 at 8:30 pmMy favorite toy from back in the day was anything “He-Man: Masters Of The Universe kicked ass”
http://tinyurl.com/85rk2a
Patric on Jan 16th 2009 at 8:30 pmMy favorite toy was and still is my recorder. As a child it was a casett recorder and now its my mp3 player witch can record stuff. I recorded everything from “blablabla” can remember me doing that for half an hour very funny:-) to my first recordings from my life.
thanks for the question! It was nice to remember:-)
Nickcast on Jan 16th 2009 at 8:30 pmDid your love for Junior Mints come from trying to make a new eye for Teddy.
brianminor on Jan 16th 2009 at 8:30 pmMine was and still is (26yrs old) my ultimate unstoppable force. Mr. T, Facem HEMAN and Chuck Norris. But now that have the Flintstones Mobile and the Drobo to back them up (get it drobo backup, yeah that was cheesy).
brianminor on Jan 16th 2009 at 8:30 pmoh and here is a pic sorry forgot to add it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/25337858@N04/3201713900
James McDonald on Jan 20th 2009 at 8:30 pmDid anyone just see what I saw? Look at the video on 1 min 56 seconds, a little swoosh of light flashes by the screen. Usually means theirs spirits around. Not in any means bad spirits, just a presence of some sort. Epic!
My favourite toy as a kid would have to have been the Gameboy!
