Good luck on the buses! I ride them all the time just dont get lost becuase it is really easy to do that on a bus. And dont fall asleep good way to miss your stop.

Funny thing, that Americans often seems to be afraid of riding transit. On this side of the Atlantic, it’s the most natural thing. Babies learn their bus stop before they can walk!

I’ve ridden the bus once here in the Twin Cities. St. Paul offers free buses on St. Paddy’s Day. I survived.

San Francisco has a FANTASTIC public transit system. The options are abundant and cheap. Last time I visited SF I covered 42 miles of road in the city by walking, bussing, and riding the trolleys. For less than $10 a day.

I would KILL to have the type of cheap and convenient mass transit that they have in SF installed in Allegheny County. Pittsburgh buses are so disorganized. *sigh*

I know exactly how hectic it is to find a specific MUNI bus, especially when you can’t find exactly where the closest stop is from a BART station. But next time you come here and depend on public transportation, http://511.org is the first place to go to.

I heard you talk about taking the bus to Leo’s and thought you could really use a service like city car share. I use a partnering co-op in Vancouver and love the convenience, cost saving and environmental benefit.
