Nice. We once did that with a ladder. A friend locked himself out of his house and the only open window was upstairs, so we had to get the ladder from my place to his….and despite having an Oldsmobile at the time, it was one of the smaller ones, so it wouldn’t fit in the trunk.

I witnessed an event once that had to do with sheet metal.
I was staying at the time with a cousin in Oklahoma. We both heard what sounded like helicopters in the distance. What had happened was that the tornado had made a direct hit on a construction site and the helicopter sound was sheet metal as it was being whipped through the air by the twister!

I’ve been trying to get some better photos with the iPhone, but I think you need it to be outdoors or really well lit. Neither of those happen in my hidden away job. Still, I can see yours and that guy is proving himself what we call a nutter!

There’s a seinfeld standup routine about this kind of guy — he’s thinking he can hold on to this huge area on a highway.

Reminds me (sadly) of TV-science show which illustrated how people incorrectly think they can safely hold a small child (unseatbelted) in their arms when in the car. The experiment hung a guy in a chair, facing down, from the roof and had him hold a baby doll in his arms. Then they loaded the baby with weight matching the ‘weight’ the baby would be when stopping at 5 km/hr, 10km/hr. I think he could no longer hold on to the baby at 25km/hr. (40miles/hr), and it sped out of his arms. In real life, this would be point of the baby flying through the windscreen as the car came to a halt.

So this just brought back flashbacks for me of my sister and ex brother in-law trying to get a Christmas tree home much in the same fashion it tied with string to the car….and it slipping onto the boot(trunk) and me just being 10 y/o at the time shouting “It’s going to fall off!! It’s going to fall off!!” and it pretty much did….luckily on the hard shoulder not on the road……poor tree!

i fear that one day i will stumble upon someone’s blog site only to find paparazzi photos of me doing something exceedingly stupid. oh well

Hi - just wondering a few things.
So this is the first time I’ve ever been on this site - I was trying to find a funny vid relating to cheese burgers for an inside joke and I came upon this ijustine site. Ha ha! I once had a guy driving towards me with a long piece of 6 inch metal tubing on his roof, as he turned the corner it shot off, straight under my car. If I’d been 2 feet further forward it would have gone straight through my windscreen.
