Oh Jumpcut! You were such a great little website with such potential. We could upload our clips to you and edit them online! Such innovation. This was a fun little video Karen and I made about going on a date with Jumpcut.
Above is a photo from March 2009 at the Yahoo Brickhouse offices which are moving their location. I went to visit Karen and she showed me that they still had the Jumpcut sign that we had made just 2 years ago.
…and here we are in March 2007 with that very sign. How time flies when you’re making web videos Funny how in both videos Karen is wearing purple and I’m wearing pink lol
Here are are working very hard on that masterpiece!
I had an amazing time at the Streamys and it was great to see so many amazing people get the recognition they deserved. The show was extremely well produced and it seemed to be a great success!
Above I stopped Neil Patrick Harris just as he won his Streamy for best male actor in a comedy web series.
Blogging back stage! The Streamy’s official photographers the Bui Brothers got so many amazing shots from the event! Check their favorites here.
Stay tuned to this page for an on-going Streamy’s blog post. I’ll keep updating as I get footage from the event. This is the first ever episodic awards show for online content.. so, get excited people!
The crowd!
Back stage… holla!
I think I have every brand of camera in my hand right now.
Epic FU wins a Streamy for Best Hosted Web Series.
Oh man, this is probably one of my new favorite videos by Rhett and Link. I’ve always been a huge fan of their work but for their fun Sanyo video, they got together a bunch of LA youtubers and made us all jump in the water with our clothes on.. aka, phat dipping.
The worst part was for me because not only did I forget to bring extra clothes to change into after phat dipping, I’m also a terrible swimmer and just about had a panic attack jumping in. haha.
Here’s a fun behind the scenes clip they made for me Don’t forget.. the contest starts today to win an xacti and $10,000. Check it out here!!!
This is my latest music video on how to be a video blogger with some very important video blogging tips… and, the best part is that I shot it with a new camera that I’ve been dying to tweet about!!
If you’re interested, take 15 seconds and enter yourself in a contest they are having starting tomorrow to win $10,000 plus a new Xacti cam!!!
Last year sometime I was thinking that I’d love to get in touch with Sanyo to test out one of their cameras. My friend Clintus has been a huge fan of them since I’ve know him and he’s quite the avid video blogger so I knew they had to be pretty cool cams.
Well, randomly enough this year they just so happen to be launching a new line of cameras and wanted me to make a video for them!!! I had been planning on doing a video blogger song for awhile so it worked out great.
I’ll try to see if I can borrow a few of the other cameras to see the difference in video quality and features to write a more extensive review on them.. no promises though *crosses fingers*
The camera that I have is a red HD Sanyo Xacti HD camera. It has 30x zoom, takes 2 megapixel photos and you can use any size SD card for memory. I really want one of the pink slim xacti cams though. It’s so cute and shots 720p HD video and 10-megapixel photos.
The best part about these cameras is that they are simple enough for everyday use, or you can go totally pro and put in your own manual settings for aperture and focus. The mic is very crisp and clear which is one of the things I’m most critical about with consumer based cameras.
To see all of the new cameras, click here to go to their site. The price is pretty decent on them too — the lower end slim cameras are around $200 and the higher end nearing $500ish. The one I was using was $300.
Happy belated birthday twitter — It was twitter’s 3rd birthday on Saturday, March 21st and here’s a little cupcake to celebrate. Let’s hope for many more fun years of twittering.. I can’t wait to see where this service goes in the next 3 years!
Saw this hilarious way to monetize twitter over at joy of tech. They make awesome tech cartoons and other goodies. Check out this comic in a larger version here.
Wow, this is the coolest thing ever! Suzi baked me this AMAZING Apple logo cake for my birthday. Not only does it look awesome, but it tasted so good.
It’s sitting right next to my computer and taunting me with it’s deliciousness. Currently as I type this.. it’s a few hours after I already ate the stem and a little chunk outta the non-bite side. Nom nom nom
