i have STRONG dislike for the new facebook. i agree with you about the new fan pages being great but facebook turning into twitter, massively sucks..

I like the new layout. I think it’s much more interactive. Sure.. for the non-tech savvy there are already quite a lot of status update groans! But… again like the last change in format people will get used to it as people love facebook! I think this format change is more a change in direction than a layout change… it’s more aiming at competing with twitter. May the social networking battle commence!

I just “became a fan” of you on Facebook. But I’ll tell you what I’m not a fan of… The new Facebook layout. It can go swallow some rat poison. IMHO. Of course, I’ve been on Facebook since you used to have to receive an invite from someone else to even be on the thing. So, I guess I’m sort of one-sided on the deal and am un-accepting of the new… But, I don’t have much of choice other than quit using. Naaaaaaah.

I get that facebook is trying to compete with twitter because twitter is taking over….but honestly, i admire companys that do their own thing and not try to copy someone else. As far as the new page looks, i really don’t like it. It’s confusing once again.

I don’t use facebook but the pages look good. Very functional.

i love the new facebook page…made mine the day it came out! the part that is new to me (because ive never had a facebook page before) is the friend adding…they have to initiate the add. means you have to promote! don’t think i didn’t see your facebook ad for your ijustine page tho!

It is nice to see the new fillet square graphic layout, but it is also one of the hardest thing to integrate all of the graphics with fillet corner… thus in a overall stand point, I think the previous graphic strategy was more successful (hard corner). but the new layout really makes the home page more calming, and as always, it will takes some time to get use to…
in the end, they are really bring out the potential of web 2.0, and I am please to say they are making progress to bring social media to the masses, one friend at a time!

To me it just seems as if the new profiles are designed to give u an overload of information. That’s just my opinion though…

Where is that box that says “real friends” and how do you get on your friends list? all ten thousand!! how is that different than your fans list? All that to say what? I looked at your pics…if you ever come to Dallas, I will GIVE you a photo shoot! I thought the same thing about it looking like Twitter. I think Facebook might be getting a little worried since twitter is to the point of doing all the same things as Facebook but with a simpler interface.

after seeing a bit on Twitter on a local Edmonton Alberta station it wasn’t surprising that facebook would try and tame that market.

I thought your “Real Friends” list was pretty funny. I’m a pretty go with the flow type person. I didn’t complain too much the last time Facebook changed their format and I won’t complain too much this time around either. It’s not a big deal to me really. I just love Facebook for it’s networking capabilities so I’ll just roll with it.

I like the new layouts on Facebook, though the Page I admin for a large organisation is now a bit messed up so I’m gonna have to spend a while sorting that out!

How do you get the URL facebook.com/ijustine? Usually they’re facebook.com/pages/pagename - is this becuase you’re super popular or can you pay for this? We’d promote ours a lot more if it was a short snappy URL like that! I think thats why Twitter profiles are easy to share - twitter.com/yourname but if you have to add a heap of directory structures in there, it’s awkward. Any advice welcome!
