Hi Justine! Just jumped onto your site…SO; I’m still confused. DID you see it in IMAX? I am (obviously) a HUGE star wars fan…I was kind of hoping the movie wouldn’t be good…because of the never ending battle between star wars and star trek fans. Buuuut the movie actually ended up being REALLY good.
Now I have to hope for a star wars movie to come out…hA!

I saw it via the internet, yes via the internet ! :P*

It was ok, it’s wasn’t bad.

It didn’t have all the nice laser and proton effects of the previous movies… I found the special effects for laser and protons and plasma’s really short…

The story was a bit lacking too… I didn’t get where Nero came from ? Weird…

Also it didn’t have the anxiety/scaryness of previous movies.

Like it’s supposed to be “exploration” and such… but this wasn’t… this was just an action movie… and a war movie in space…

Nothing to explore here… move along please !

First of all, that was an insane amount of snacks for one movie. lol
And secondly, that was pretty gutsy of you to bring that cam inside! If they saw you they probably would have taken it! Or kicked you out…sneaky sneaky.

I watched Star Trek myself this weekend. I had never seen an old movie as well, and still enjoyed the movie. Nice to see you smuggle treats into the movie as well.

I just saw the movie last night and it was awesome. Just one question. Why so many snacks? It’s only a 2hr movie.

There´s no such thing as too many snacks… ever!

Justine, thanks for the heads up on Star Trek being awesome. I’ve never been a Trekkie (sp?), but even I have to admit that I’d like to see it, based on the previews I’ve seen.

Stop, stop, not stopping too funny. I saw it Saturday with my sis, we went to the Gold Class Cinema in Barrington IL where they serve you dinner during the show and you can eat, drink wine and watch it in big comfy recliners with blankets. Loved the movie, now I want to see it in Imax, is it worth it? Hope so, thinking of doing that this weekend.

Star Wars was such a good movie…..never watched the show, only the movie….o0o AND i just saw you on TV for the first time!!! on the Mozy commercial! So congrats for being on tv lol!

We wen to Trek on saturday. I was almost awsome. The only thing it lacked was a cameo of Shatner. You just can’t make a Trek movie without the Shat!!! What’s up with that?

What type of editing software do you use for your Apple? Final Cut? Just wondering because I’m obsessed and always looking for new cheats and cool effects.

Ok, really? That many snacks for a 2 hr movie? Although you can’t have too many…were you noisy during the movie? (the worst). You should def see the snack bags that my wife packs for “road trips!!” You’d be in hog-heaven! (swine reference). Seriously, they take up the whole back seat!!
Also, you made me nervous with that vid cam in the movies, I kept thinking that the feds were going to repel out of the ceiling and snag you out of your chair!! The movie did rock (IMAX) glad you liked it! Keep up your crazy life!

If I would have paid the freight to see a movie in IMAX and a group of people with that many snacks sat near me I would have been pissed. Hopefully you were quiet. By all accounts a great movie. Hope you had a great time.

So how many of all those snacks did you actually eat?

Anyway, I did see it in an IMAX theater which was a treat in itself. It was awesome! Good action, and some of that classic Star Trek humor between the characters. These are practically unknown actors(except for LN), but they really did a great job of getting into character and breathing some new life into them. Karl Urban as Dr. McCoy absolutely nailed that part! DeForest Kelley would be proud.

Looking forward to the next one.

Now I feel much less odd about sneaking starbucks into movies I’ve been to. Though you couldn’t get away with that, let alone video, at the theater I went to.

But I digress, the movie was great, absolutely great. I’m glad so many people are going to see if regardless if they’re a Star Trek fan, because it really is enjoyable.
