I shot so much footage at the MTV Movie Awards and once I started going through it.. none of it really would have made sense if I didn’t add some type of commentary. It’s a lot harder trying to cover an event by yourself without a camera person.. but hopefully this is okay. Let me know your thoughts! Other than the fact that this video is 8 minutes long.. probably one of my longest.

The highlight of the event was definitely the 360 Fashion Photos that they were shooting on the red carpet (see my previous blog entry for that).

My personal favorite highlight though would have to be meeting iCarly. I didn’t recognize her at first and was thrown off trying to figure out what to say to her. But, I remembered talking to you guys about what I would say to her if we ever did cross paths, and the most obvious question was “Why did you steal my name?” — We all know she didn’t.. but Nickelodeon did :) She was very sweet and seemed extremely nice in the 25 seconds that we chatted! I hope our i’s will meet again.

I was also very excited to meet Scott and Chet from Real World Brooklyn. I’ve NEVER watched Real World and this was the only season that I ever followed.. even though I didn’t watch the last few episodes, I really loved the dynamic of people they chose for this season. Follow Chet on twitter and follow Scott on twitter!

Like I mentioned before, covering this type of event with a handful of gadgets is never easy. I surprisingly traveled quite light (yes, for me.. this is light) with only my Nikon D90, Canon SD960, iPhone, Flip HD and my Joby Gorilla Pod. The hardest part is figuring out if you want a photo, a video, to live stream or not to live stream or if you want a photo that you can upload from your mobile. I need an event coverage intern!

You can check out more photos on my flickr page if you want! See you next event.
