So, one tip that I didn’t put in this video is that you shouldn’t FORGET ALL OF YOUR SHOES!! I did that on this trip and it sucks. Most girls were tweeting me about how it’s a good excuse to go shopping.. but guess what — I hate to shop! lol

Anyways, I made this video in honor of howcast and jetblue (who now flies to NYC and Boston to LAX — this is huge because LA people would always have to drive an hour + to long beach) and because I was supposed to be flying on their inaugural flight, but was at the twitter conference instead.

Anyways, I have so many funny and odd traveling stories that I should share more of these and make them into tip vids! Could be fun.

Education + Entertainment = Edutainment?

Also, kinda like…

Fun + Unemployment = Funemployment!

Flying around the country visiting conferences and blogging about it def qualifies. iJustine is probably the funnest funemployed person online. Actually making some money helps too.

but,

Would you consider sharing some tips for how you’re monetizing your “online celebrity” status?

Like how you’re putting together sponsorship deals, getting paid to endorse stuff, etc.

Getting attention is one thing but making some $$ to pay for all the fun is even better.

Lifestyle design!

Instead of just wrapping up your cords and having them loose, I usually get a large ziploc bag and put all my cords in it, plus headphones. They don’t make you pull it out, but if they had to, you can grab it in one swipe. and, they’re less in the way!

But a computer bag with a bunch of pockets is good too!

Oh, and back up your files before you leave! Just in case!

2 of my favorite travel tips:

1: Take a pic with your iphone of where you parked your car at the airport. I have wondered many a times aimlessly trying to remember. This has saved me valuable time. Couldn’t hurt to also take a pic of your rental car. I have come out of retaurants in a starge city - and forgot what I was driving.

2: Fancy Hotels charge $7-$10 bucks for bottled water in your hotel room. But they’re free in the fitness center. Though they are smaller - garb 1 or 2.

Travel Tip: Travel on some filthy stinkin rich dude’s private jet whenever possible. Even more leg room and lots of other good stuff, some of which should probably not be mentioned.

The best site for determining where the best seats are on the flight(s) you are taking is seatguru.com. It details the seating charts for flights based on aircraft and you can hover over the seat to get more detail.

Travel-Tiparoo 1: try to sit in emergency exits for two reasons: first one off the plane in an emergecy, AND, extra leg space!

Travel-Tiparoo 2: Don’t buy any drinks that are in those little cups, ask for the can. 80% of that cup is ice.

Travel-Tiparoo 3: Expect delays.

That is so true, I was “attacked” last week while taking out my G1 (Google Phone) and yes airplane mode does not count as turning it 100% off. OMG, that is so unreal.
