I gotta feeling spoof

Posted at 12:57 pm | 59 comments

(Lyrics are in the sidebar of the youtube video.. so just double click the above video and it’ll take you there if you want them)

Are you or someone you know obsessed with updating their profile pictures on Facebook or other various social networks?

When getting ready to go out, do they (or you) take hours getting ready in hopes of taking a good profile picture tonight? This video is dedicated to the friends and family effected by the profile pic obsessed.

I mean.. I think we’ve all been a little guilty of this at some time or other :P

Bui Brothers photoshoot

Posted at 5:24 pm | 65 comments

Remember my tweets about a photoshoot I was doing a few weeks ago? Well, the photos are finally all done plus an awesome behind the scenes video (which is posted above so click it and watch it).

There was an amazing team of people working on this shoot and I was very excited to be a part of it:

Photography : The Bui Brothers
Original Music : Paul Dateh and Ken Belcher
Makeup/hair : Tracie Cotta
Wardrobe : Bonny Pierzina
Style : Doug Chan (Furious Photographers)
Location Sponsor : Lawrence Chan (Tofurious)

Thanks everyone for your hard work :)

These are probably some of my favorite shots. The lighting is just awesome! Check out the Bui Brother’s site for more of them :)

We’ve dubbed this series “Internet Junkie”

Love the lighting on these shots too!

Bonny and I shopped for hours trying to find all of the pieces to this crazy outfit haha.

Canceling a service

Posted at 12:55 pm | 72 comments

There really is nothing more annoying and frustrating than trying to cancel a service.. They just WON’T let you off the hook. If I’ve made it this far, there is no turning back — I want to cancel so just let it go. Peacefully and quickly.

But.. it’s never that easy as you can see from this video. I’m sure this has happened to you as well! What was your experience?

This was my second interaction with Sprint trying to cancel something and it was just as painful both times.

foursquare

Posted at 3:25 pm | 33 comments

To put it simply, foursquare is a location based social networking game. It’s so addicting and the only reason you should have not to be on it is that it’s not available in your city (as of now it’s mostly major US cities).

Foursquare is great for many things and most importantly it allows you to actually keep up with your friends and contact them quickly. You could go as far as saying that foursquare is a secondary interactive address book. It not only gives you quick access to your friends locations, but it also gives you the option to email, text and call..

Yes, I did say text and call — if you do approve someone to be your friend on foursquare, it gives them access to your phone number. Now, for me.. I don’t necessarily want everyone in the world to have my number, so I definitely have been thinking twice about who I approve and add. Sometimes, I think this is how social networking should really be!

Everything is based on locations. When jumping from city to city, each time you check into a new city, those friends will become visible! Tips allow you to make suggestions on places you visit.. It’s pretty helpful when exploring a new city or just finding new places that you might not have known about in your own town!

One of the really fun things about this site is that everytime you perform an action (check into a new location, create a new place that isn’t in their database, etc..) you get points that will allow you to climb that cities leader board for the week.

Badges are given out for accomplishing random tasks. ex: checking in more than 10 times a month, going to more than 4 bars a night, checking in with 3 other friends of the opposite sex in one location (this will give you the player badge!!!)

Also, if there is a place that you have frequent more than other users, you’ll become the mayor of that establishment.. but don’t get too excited, someone can quickly come along and steal your mayor status! It’s happened to me before and sadly, I don’t even live in that city to go back and reclaim it!! Ah!

Anyways, I’m completely addicted and excited because I haven’t seen a new social networking site that was even worth blogging in a long time. This is a winner! You can download this little gem from the app store here and on their site at playfoursquare.com.

I want a pizza!

Posted at 6:24 pm | 113 comments

So, this video was a request from episode #14 of Ask iJ where I talked in this british accent about ordering a pizza. Everyone said they’d love to see it as a full video.. Well, here it is!

Also, a lot of you have been asking if these calls were real. 100% real.. even that creepy Blockbuster guy at the end. I actually had to censor out a few things that he said because it was definitely NOT appropriate!

Enjoy!

Harris Teeter music video

Posted at 10:14 am | 73 comments

While my family and I were in North Carolina.. I became obsessed with these stores called Harris Teeter. Where we go on vacation there isn’t really much to do, but the Harris Teeter is ALWAYS open so there is some entertainment if need be.

Anyways, I’ve never been in a store where the employees were so friendly. No one yelled at us for filming and everyone was just laughing and having a good time while I danced around and sang a ridiculous song.

Before we shot the music video, this was our first visit there. I pretty much embarrassed my entire family but knew at that very moment that Harris Teeter NEEDED a song.
