grayce Ezarik on Aug 24th 2009 at 5:31 amWhat a nice name, like, Flaming Gingos, huh? Gingo:
A few years back, there was an article in the Austin newspaper by a professor of linguistics at U. of Texas on the origin of the word Gingo. Maybe some people here are interested, maybe not.
When the U.S. invaded Mexico, many of the soldiers were Irish immigrants. A very popular song at the time had the refrain “Green grows the grass on the Emerald Island.” The Mexicans heard “green grows” as “gingos” and started calling the Yanks Gingos.

Sheila | Live Well 360° on Aug 24th 2009 at 5:31 amFlamingos are so cool. It boggles my mind that their legs bend backward like that. My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt in Kanapali for our honeymoon a few years ago, and we loved walking through the flamingo garden area there. Awesome! If you have time, go scuba diving (or snuba)… its waaay more fantastic than snorkeling, you see so much more.

John on Aug 24th 2009 at 5:31 amFlamingos are pretty cool. I saw a lot of them last year when I went to Discovery Cove. You should get a pet bird
Cockatiels or parakeets make great pets for beginners. My personal favorite bird is the Hyacinth Macaw
Sarah on Aug 24th 2009 at 5:31 amAww. I love flamingos too! I was watching something on tv earlier that had flamingos and I just couldn’t handle all the cuteness.
eddie (IJustines #1 Fan) on Aug 24th 2009 at 5:31 amHello, Justine. My name is Eddie. I hate youtube haters as well. They don’t make sense at all! They say that you videos suck or you suck right? Why are they watching your videos then. That is totally stupid. If I don’t like a video, well then I stop watching it. I don’t go commenting that there video sucks. What you do it stop playing it. Its really simple. I know I got a lot of youtube haters when I posted a video response to your video. I do not know if you saw it or not. Its ok if you didn’t. Anyways, I am kinda a big fan of yours. I send you some messages, but I do not know if you read them or if there was to many. You are a internet celebrity, so its cool. I wish I could be as good as an editor as your are. I love making movies, music, websites, and pretty much anything on the computer. You are like a inspiration. I want to be an internet celebrity, and make awesome videos like you do. I love your videos. When I am bored, I know I can watch one of your 200 + videos. They are all awesome and are not boring like mine. I am still working on my video making skills. Someday I hope to be as good as you. Also Some day I wish I could get a reply from a message, or even talk to you one day. That would be awesome. Please even if you never know I am here, I always will be you BIGGEST FAN in the world. Please DONT remember your biggest fan Eddie! even if you don’t know I exist.

How about spare ribs?
RJ on Aug 26th 2009 at 5:31 amThose last couple of seconds where you squished the flamingo with your fingers reminded me of when people take tourist photos holding buildings in their hands. …But, you didn’t look like a tourist.
Lily =) on Aug 31st 2009 at 5:31 amUmmmmmm Hi, but I was just wondering where that was becasue my family is going to Hawaii in the winter and my Mom LOVES Flamingos! So please answer……
Hey Justine on Sep 3rd 2009 at 5:31 amHi justine. I use to have a Flamingo at a hotel I worked at in Fort Lauderdale. Her name was Scarlet. She was a pain in the ass, not to mention a bitch. She lived in a pond in the the lobby of the Jolly Rodger Hotel. The Jolly Rodger was famous for celeberties and Spring Breakers. Today it still stands as a landmark with a different name. Anyway, Scarlets pond was next to a stairway within reach of my ankles as I climbed them. She would bite at my ankles. One year we had a Hurricane and baby turtles washed ashore. We wanted to help so we brought them inside and decided to place them in Scarlet’s pond until the weather past. Scarlet did not appriciate sharing her pond. She grab them with her beak and flung them across the lobby one by one. Scarlet was beautiful to see, but once you knew her, not so great. How about you? You look great, would I like to know you.
