ah!! i am totally with you! i go to school in the empire state building and people ask me EVERY MORNING on my way to class if i want a bus tour. it’s like, “really!?? you see me every morning, rushing to class!! i do not want!!” haha

same thing happens in japan with the rickshaws.

Just got home from NYC last night. That’s one thing I’m not missing.
If it’s not the yellow-jacket-wearing-man, then it’s the red-jacket-wearing-man who asks you. Even when you say, that you have bought a tour, then they say; “Then why not a second time? *big happy face*”.

Thank god, that there is no tour-bus-selling here in Copenhagen

Never got asked for the bus tours. They labeled me as comedy club kind of guy… all the time, every time I go to NYC.

If you don’t like to be pestered with bus tours… or comedy shows… and definitely T-shirts, then London would be a no-go area for you.

I went to London earlier last year and you get the daytime run of “Bus Tour, Bus Tour, BUS TOUR!!!” and in the evening it’s “Comedy Show, Comedy Show, COMEDY SHOW!!!”

LOVE this video Justine. Well done. We’re hitting NYC for our 10th anniversary at the end of this week. And in fact we’re getting the 72hr hop on hop off grayline tour pass. That’s the only way to STOP them from asking you… actually, no, they still bug you
It’s a decent way to get around the city as a tourist…some of the guides are quite funny too.

hehe.. but a bus tour pamphlets are better than the stuff they throw at you in Vegas.

I also noticed on my vacation in NYC that phenomenom. I hated those people who tried to get me into those busses, comedy clubs, up to the Empire state etc. ….sh*t I hate them.
But I noticed that if I’d talk with my gf our own language they spotted us from a block away. But if I’d just look straight ahead, wear some local T-shirt (I don’t mean “I heart NY”) and maybe just show my hand in way like “talk to the hand”…then they might just leave me alone. I’m Finnish….give me my freaking space!

I never got asked to go on a bus tour during my short stay in NYC, but a creepy dude who was eye ballin me said “Fake ID?” just as he passed me. It was kinda funny since I was a year or two over the age of 21.
